SAVE JAPAN! UT  SUPPORTED&CURATED BY VOGUE JAPAN, GQ JAPAN LADY GAGA, KARL LAGERFELD, NICOLE KIDMAN, AND MORE...  Ten internationally acquired artists including Lady Gaga, Karl Lagerfeld, Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow have designed T-shirts with supportive messages for Japan after responding to a request from VOGUE JAPAN and GQ JAPAN magazines issued by the Conde Nast Group, a media partner of the SAVEJAPAN! Project. The shirts will be sold from June 25 (Sat) through UNIQLO Co., Ltd., another supporter of the SAVEJAPAN! Project.The profits from the sale of the T-shirts, estimated at 100 million yen, are to be donated to the Japanese Red Cross society for the reconstruction of the earthquake-affected areas. We are grateful to offer support for the earthquake victims through this project and are sincerely hoping the earliest recovery.

Alber Elbaz Alber Elbaz, Artistic Director of Lanvin’s women’s collection – His heart surrounded message “with all my heart to Japan”, is a lovely creation perfectly in keeping with his style.Orlando Bloom The talented actor known for his roles in the movies "Lord of the Rings" and "Pirates of the Caribbean", Orlando Bloom was named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2009.  In his message, he appeals for solidarity.Gwyneth Paltrow  The Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winning actress, Gwyneth Paltrow, for her performance Cyndi Lauper  Cyndi Lauper toured Japan in March, shortly after the earthquake disaster occurred, and provided strong encouragement through her concerts, where she also helped to collect funds for the affected areas.  Her T-shirt bears both a message and a portrait of herself by Mayumi, a Japanese illustrator and good friend.Charlize Theron  Charlize Theron, the Academy Award winning actress for her performance in the movie "Monster", established a charity organization last year to help children and communities in South Africa, where she was born.  Her T-shirt is emblazoned with the heartening words "It is the most difficult moments that we can show our bravest self."Nicole Kidman  Nicole Kidman, the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winning actress for her role in "The Hours", unveiled an illustration she made by hand out of a desire to express her feelings with a picture instead of words, showing another side to her talent.Victoria Beckham  In addition to her work as an actress, singer, and model, Victoria Beckham is also active as a fashion designer.  She put her heart and soul into the job of designing a T-shirt along with the staff of Victoria Beckham, her signature brand.

 

Blake Lively  Her role as Serena van deer Woodsen in the "Gossip Girl" TV series quickly gave Blake Lively worldwide popularity.  For her T-shirt, she made a sketch accompanied by a touching poem: "just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.”
